Who we are
Raw Deal (rawdeal.law) is a service of Satnick Lau LLP, a law firm at 10940 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 1600, Los Angeles, California 90024. This policy explains what information this website and our Raw Deal inbox and phone line receive, and what we do with it.
What this website collects
This website has no forms, no accounts and no uploads. We do not use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies on it.
- Technical information. When you visit, the company that hosts this website (Vercel) automatically receives technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time of the request, as part of delivering the site.
- Fonts. This website loads typefaces from Google Fonts, a Google service. When a page loads, your browser asks Google for the fonts, and Google receives your IP address and browser information as part of that request.
What you send us by email or phone
If you email info@rawdeal.law or call us, we receive whatever you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number and a description of your dispute. We use it to check for conflicts of interest, to respond to you, and to decide whether our firm may be able to help.
Please start with only the names of everyone involved and a sentence or two about what happened. Hold screenshots, documents and the full story until we tell you the conflict check has cleared and ask for them.
We treat what you send as confidential, as California law generally requires when someone consults a lawyer about hiring them. We do not sell it, and we do not share it for advertising.
Who else may receive information
- The company that hosts this website, for the technical information described above.
- Google, for the font requests described above.
- The providers that run our email, phone and business systems (our Raw Deal email is Microsoft 365, provided through GoDaddy), only as needed to operate those systems.
- Others when the law requires it, for the technical information described above. Anything you tell us about your matter is shared only as the rules that govern lawyers permit.
Do Not Track and tracking by others
This website does not track visitors over time or across other websites, so it does not respond differently when a browser sends a Do Not Track signal. Google receives your IP address and browser information when a page loads its fonts, as it does on other websites that use Google Fonts. We do not control how Google uses that information; Google's own privacy policy governs it. We do not allow any other company to use this website to collect personally identifiable information about your online activities over time and across different websites.
Reviewing or changing your information
To review, correct or ask us to delete information you sent us, email info@rawdeal.law. We may need to keep some information, such as the names used in our conflict checks, to meet our professional obligations.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we will say so at the top of the page.
